This model of the black stone was made by Sheikh Ahmad bin Ibrahim Badr, the chief artist who also recast the door of the Ka‘bah, refurbished the meezab, (the spout at the top of Ka‘bah) and the Black Stone's silver frame. He was born in Mecca and was from a family of gold and silver artisans. His father whose shop ‘Sheikh Ibrahim Badr’ was in the in the goldsmiths market in Mecca was also responsible for the King ‘Abdul Aziz Ka‘bah door which was installed in October 1947.
